Ian Brown
Head of Banking and Investments
Ian is Head of Banking and Investments, responsible for the origination and execution of lending and investing activities. Ian is an experienced banker and investor. Before joining us, he was Head of Private Markets at asset manager LGPS Central, establishing its infrastructure, private credit, private equity and real estate direct and fund of funds platform for its eight UK pension schemes. Previously, he spent 14 years at Lloyds Banking Group, where latterly he was Head of Industrials & Infrastructure and Head of Large Corporates, Europe. He had joined Lloyds to lead leveraged finance in Europe, becoming Global Head of Leveraged Finance and then Global Head of Loan Financing before moving to head coverage. His career prior to Lloyds was at UBS where he was a Managing Director in the leveraged finance and advisory business.
Colin Hudson
Managing Director, Banking and Investments at UK Infrastructure Bank
Colin has over three decades' experience in project finance lending and advisory. In this time, he has helped to build and lead energy and infrastructure teams in banking (most notably Siemens Bank and Banco Espirito Santo) and project finance advisory (PwC). His work has encompassed a full range of limited and non-recourse project activity from renewables, through to digital, social and transportation infrastructure. He joined UKIB from Siemens Bank GmbH where he has been since its outset in 2011 and where he most recently led the London-based Origination team covering the UK, Middle East and Africa.
Steve Lomas
Managing Director, Banking and Investments
Steve has been involved in financing global infrastructure projects for over 25 years both in the private and public sectors. After spending time at Natwest, RBS and Ambac closing infrastructure deals globally, Steve joined HM Treasury and helped establish the Infrastructure Finance Unit before supporting the set-up of the Green Investment Bank. The team established the £40 billion UK Guarantees Scheme (UKGS) which issued over £4 billion of guarantees and made £1.4 billion of fund investments. Steve played a leading role in the set up and launch of the UK Infrastructure Bank, and was one of the first to join the bank, as Co-Head of the Banking Team during the first year of operations.
Adrian Peacock
Managing Director, Banking and Investments
Adrian has over 25 years of origination and execution experience across infrastructure and energy sectors which has spanned advisory, lending and equity investment. Following time at EY and RBS Adrian spent over a decade at Dalmore Capital where, as Managing Director, he was instrumental in building an infrastructure equity investment manager from scratch to over £5 billion AUM. Serving a global investor base, Adrian led the acquisition of over 100 distinct equity investments across the spectrum of the infrastructure, transport and energy asset classes whilst establishing a deep network across owners, advisors and policymakers. Adrian has also been a member of several boards including FTSE-250 scale infrastructure and energy businesses. He holds qualifications from the ICAEW (FCA), CISI (Corporate Finance and Investment Management) and recently completed a Certification in Sustainable Investment from Harvard Business School.
Emily Sidhu
Managing Director, Banking and Investments
Emily has around 20 years of experience working in public sector financial institutions. She was previously at UK Export Finance for almost 18 years, where her last role was as Head of Project Finance Risk. Since November 2022 she has been a Director at UKIB in the Banking team, looking at CCUS, hydrogen and other clean energy sectors. During her career Emily has negotiated and financed projects across the energy and infrastructure spectrum in the UK, Europe and across the world. She has experience in origination, structuring, credit and portfolio roles. Emily has a BSc (hons) in Mathematics and a PhD in Civil Engineering.
